'''Creep Clash''' - Retail release support. This game uses the same engine as Sento. The [http://archive.org/details/CreepClash shareware] version promises Impression support with 640x400 resolution with 65k color in the retail release. [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/47-TEK,+INC+INTROS+NEW+TRUE+3D+FIGHTING+GAME+'CREEP+CLASH(TM)'-a015901477 Uses Renderware API.]
+

+
'''IceHawk''' - Bundled with the Matrox Impression as part of the 3D Superpack. Very little information can be found about this game and it appears this was not released in any other form. Ice Hawk, a jet-fighter simulation game, is also limited in functionality, but it displays intricate models of enemy planes and the 3-D terrain of the ice planet Valkor. '''Sento''' - Bundled with Matrox Impression as part of the 3D Superpack and also released as combo along with Creep Clash ([https://dl.dropbox.com/u/57506833/vogons/creepcrashsento.JPG image of disc]). Also promises Impression support with 640x400 resolution with 65k color. +
'''Specter MGA (aka Specter VR)''' - Bundled with the Matrox Impression as part of the 3D Superpack. According to this [http://www.craniac.com/portfolio_sw.htm source]; Specter MGA is a port of the game Specter VR to use Criterion's Renderware 3D API and 3D hardware acceleration provided by Matrox MGA 3D video card.

'''Debunked:'''
+
+
'''3D Baseball''' - Game never released for Windows. PSX and Saturn only. Crystal Dynamics did mention this game in a [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/NVIDIA+NV1+Windows+95+Multimedia+Accelerator+Announces+%22Wave%22+of...-a017622254 Nvidia press release 12th of November 1995]. Apparently this never materialized.
+

+
'''Absolute Zero''' - Again a game that was mentioned in the press release. I have searched through the retail CD and readme, with no mention of NV1 support. Internet also says nothing about NV1 support for this game beside in the press report. To put the final nail in the coffin, this game is not mentioned on [http://web.archive.org/web/19970228082954/http://www.nvidia.com/product/config.html#titles Nvidia's official NV1 site (archived)].
+

+
'''Daytona USA''' - Listed on [http://web.archive.org/web/19970228082954/http://www.nvidia.com/product/config.html#titles Nvidia's NV1 site] as a OEM / forthcoming title and as released with support in a Nvidia [http://web.archive.org/web/19970228082613/http://www.nvidia.com/corporate/prsega.html press release on 6th of May 1996.] Though this should not be taken as proof as the Mechwarrior II version which never came out (see below for more details) are mentioned in the exactly same way. One person over at http://bit.ly/PGbnco Assembler games mention this game running on the NV1, but he also speaks about Virtua Fighter 2 (which has to be VF: Remix). An explanation is that he could've mixed up Nascar Racing and Daytona USA. It is not [http://bit.ly/Nhd5zj bundled] with the Diamond Edge 3D 3400XL, and I have found no proof that a special OEM version was bundled with any other brand. Remember that this game came out in 1996, at a time when the NV1 was getting outdated heavily with every passing month. The funny thing about the press release from May is that the game didn't ship untill October of 1996. Most of the files on the retail CD along with [http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/daytona-usa_ press reviews] confirm this. The retail version readme.txt file only claims support for the Saturn NV1 controller, but this does not work, atleast not on my system with the Edge3D I own. Another point is that the retail release does not have any .dll files or any other indication (mentions in readme, double installers, etc) as Virtua Cop has, another Sega game that was released in retail with NV1 support. In the end I conclude with that support was probably included at some point of development, but it was pulled at some point before release. The team probably found out that the NV1 was outdated with inadequate performance and rather set to work on the Direct3D patch for Daytona USA Deluxe, and thus giving the new version of the game another selling point (profit deal as Michael Pachter calls it).
+

+
'''Destruction Derby''' - Diamond got a [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Diamond+Multimedia+and+Psygnosis+Announce+Exclusive+Agreement+to...-a018289148 exclusive agreement] with the developer of this game Psygnosis to make ports for both the Diamond Stealth 2000 (S3 Virge) and Diamond Edge 3D. No information found if this version for the NV1 ever came out, but the [http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57506833/descentII.JPG S3 Virge version] did. My guess is that Diamond cancelled the NV1 version when they figured out that the NV1 had no future and that they already had a large and good bundle on the Edge3D.
+

+
'''Mixman - Spin Control''' - This is not a game, but a [http://www.cix.co.uk/~go1/reviews/issue5/mixman.htm music program]. Very hard to find any information. Is mentioned at the Nvidia NV1 site as a released title.
+

+
'''US Navy Fighters''' - Mentioned in the Nvidia press release as a game with upcoming support. I have checked the released CD and readme with no mention of NV1 support. Internet also has nothing on support. My guess is that the port was cancelled by EA.
+

+

+
'''Other possible games:'''
+
+
From this [http://web.archive.org/web/19970706013519/http://www.nvidia.com/dearnv/dpfaq.html#9 source] I found this:
+

+
Quote:
+

+
...already announced Tomcat Alley, Ecco the Dolphin, and Comix Zone. These titles will all be uniquely enhanced for the NV1 accelerator chip...
+

+
This caught my attention as those games are visible in the http://bit.ly/Nhd5zj Diamond Edge 3D 3400 bundle on Assembler games forum. Blueshogun who owns this bundle says he has not been able to get his NV1 running and that these games have not been tested. Anyway, all of these are not 3D games, but 2D and FMV. NV1 support is still unconfirmed.
+

+
'''Mechwarrior II NV1 version:'''
+

+
This version got cancelled during production. An [http://www.oocities.org/k_lupinsky/Chacko_Sonny.htm interesting interview] with a programmer at Activision explains what happened. Nvidia was apparently so sure it would be released that they made a [http://web.archive.org/web/19970228082624/http://www.nvidia.com/corporate/prmlsact.html press release] about it on May 6th 1996.

Debunked:
+
+
The Matrox Mystique doesn't have alot of games to debunk. The main reason behind this is that Matrox produced all the cards themselves and also that MSI was so quickly abandoned infavour of Direct3D and also the Matrox m3D card. The archived Matrox website also have good information of what API the games are running on. All games listed here are Direct3D. The ones listed in the "Energized" section are Direct3D or MSI, the ones that are not specified I've added below.
+

+
'''iF-22''' - Not defined on the Matrox [http://web.archive.org/web/19970813211818/http://www.matrox.com/mgaweb/gaming/if22.htm webpage], but is a Direct3D game.
+
+
'''Moto Racer''' - [https://dl.dropbox.com/u/57506833/vogons/OEMdiscs/Mystique_MotoRacer.JPG OEM] version that was part of the bundle with the Mystique 220, but it is running on optimized Direct3D.
+

+
'''Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business''' - On the disc there is just an empty folder with a .txt file for the Mystique patch. According to several sources [ [http://bit.ly/Pu7ky5 1], [http://bit.ly/S4A0jJ 2], [http://bit.ly/SWfC6O 3] ] found on Google Groups, the patch was never released. [http://www.cdaccess.com/html/pc/tombgold.htm CD Access] who sold Tomb Raider also states no support for Unfinished Business.
+

+
'''VR Sports: VR Baseball''' - Direct3D, though there is a [http://www.gamefront.com/files/898922/vrbbmyst.zip patch] for Mystique cards, which is a fix/optimization.
+
+
'''Winter Race 3D''' - Not defined on the Matrox [http://web.archive.org/web/19970525021644/http://www.matrox.com/mgaweb/gaming/winter.htm webpage], but is a Direct3D game.
+

+
'''War Gods''' - Not defined on the Matrox [http://web.archive.org/web/19970813225004/http://www.matrox.com/mgaweb/gaming/wargods.htm webpage], but is a Direct3D game.

'''Debunked:'''

'''Games:'''
+

+
'''Actua Golf''' - A [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Support+Mounts+for+Rendition+Verite+Advanced+3D+Graphics+Engine%3b...-a018198362 press release] states that this game will get support, but it never came out for the PC.
+

+
'''Actua Soccer / VR Soccer 96''' - A game which is listed with support not one, but at several places. Here on Vogons it comes from Swaaye's [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=23019 post] and this [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=31687 thread]. It is also listed in two press releases ([http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Support+Mounts+for+Rendition+Verite+Advanced+3D+Graphics+Engine%3b...-a018198362 1] - [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Descend+Into+New+3D+Worlds+with+Rendition+and+Interplay%3b+Interplay...-a018414566 2]) and [http://www.koolbear.com/Descent/accessories/review_intergraph_intense3d.html here]. The game never game out with Speedy3D support. It was probably intended to be supported at some point during development, but the confusion probably comes from the fact that it was CGL supported. The Creative 3D Blaster PCI also supported CGL along with Speedy3D and the driver CD included a patch to run the game in CGL mode on this card. This is probably what Jankjaer was confused about in his [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?p=260488#260488 statement]. The different bundles on the V1000 cards are well documented and none of them include Actua Soccer / VR Soccer. [http://web.archive.org/web/19980421091654/http://www.bjorn3d.com/3dtips.html Bjorn3D], a Rendition webpage back in the days also lists this game with only CGL support.
+

+
'''Agile Warrior''' - Game released with Direct3D support, but is said to support the Verite [http://www.koolbear.com/Descent/accessories/review_intergraph_intense3d.html here] and [http://bit.ly/QneByQ here].
+

+
'''Confirmed Kill''' - [http://www.ign.com/articles/1999/07/01/confirmed-kill-in-confirmed-limbo Game never released]. Verite [http://web.archive.org/web/19990224052837/http://www.gamespot.com/features/3dx/1p4.html source].
+
+
'''Cyber Gladiators''' - Bundled with the Sierra Screamin' 3D. Game released with Glide and Direct3D support. The bundle version was Direct3D as well (but advertised as Rendition Ready). See my [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=32633&highlight= thread] for more information.
+

+
'''Deathtrap Dungeon''' - Game released with Glide, ATICIF and Direct3D, but was apparently intended (Source: [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Support+Mounts+for+Rendition+Verite+Advanced+3D+Graphics+Engine%3b...-a018198362 1] - [http://web.archive.org/web/19980116040831/http://www.intergraph.com/ics/I3D100/reac_spc.htm 2]) for the Verite too at some point.
+

+
'''Flight Unlimited''' - Mentioned in this http://bit.ly/NDsHPo press release. Game only released with CGL support.
+

+
'''Flying Nightmares II''' - [http://www.unseen64.net/2010/05/05/flying-nightmares-2-pc-playstation-saturn-cancelled/ Game cancelled]. Verite sources: [http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Support+Mounts+for+Rendition+Verite+Advanced+3D+Graphics+Engine%3b...-a018198362 1] - [http://bit.ly/QDBK0v 2] - [http://web.archive.org/web/19990224052837/http://www.gamespot.com/features/3dx/1p4.html 3]
+

+
'''Fury 3''' - No retail support for the Verite (or any other accelerator). Mentioned two places ( [http://bit.ly/NDsHPo 1] - [http://web.archive.org/web/19980116040831/http://www.intergraph.com/ics/I3D100/reac_spc.htm 2] ) on the web.
+

+
'''Grand Slam 96''' - Game released with Direct3D support. Verite [http://bit.ly/QneByQ source].
+

+
'''Heretic II (vHeretic2)''' - Listed by Stiletto in his [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?p=273752#273752 post]. According to [http://www.hereticii.com/videofaq.php this source] only OpenGL is supported, which means you have to use Rendition's Mini-GL driver. Could be technical possible to use vQuake2 files (since the game is idTech2), but that would be an unofficial hack.
+

+
'''MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries''' - Comes from Swaaye's [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=23019 list]. Probably due to confusion since Rendition support was added in the Titanium editions, which was a re-release of all the Mechwarrior 2 games with expansions with some extra flavor.
+

+
'''NASCAR Racing''' - The game was according to a [http://bit.ly/NDsHPo press release] ported to the Verite as a hardware demo. Game not released with Speedy3D support.
+

+
'''NHL Powerplay 96''' - Game released without any hardware acceleration support. Verite [http://bit.ly/QneByQ source].
+
+
'''Silent Thunder A-10 Tank Killer II''' - Bundled with the Sierra Screamin' 3D. Game released in retail with no 3D acceleration support. The bundle version was Direct3D exclusive (but advertised as Rendition Ready). See my [http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=32633&highlight= thread] on this subject.
+

+
'''Terminal Velocity''' - Mentioned in this [http://bit.ly/NDsHPo press release]. Game only released with S3D support.
+

+
'''Terracide''' - Game released with Direct3D support. Verite [http://bit.ly/QDBK0v source].
+

+
'''The Divide: Enemies Within''' - Direct3D only. Rumour comes from [http://www.koolbear.com/Descent/accessories/review_intergraph_intense3d.html here].
+
+
'''Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business''' - While the full game has support for Speedy3D, you would think the expansion has as well, but it doesn't.
+

+
'''Wipeout XL''' - Game released with Direct3D support. Verite [http://bit.ly/NDwegw source].
+

+
'''Zone Raiders''' - No support in retail release. Verite [http://web.archive.org/web/19980116040831/http://www.intergraph.com/ics/I3D100/reac_spc.htm source].
